FOUNDER OF CREATOR'S WORLD Education

Call me Chris, but my given name is Christine. I am a Christian wife and mother of three adult children; youngest was born in 1995. At one point, all of my children were home schooled, but my daughter, went all the way through high school having me as her primary teacher. I truly loved teaching my children and cherished every moment I got to spend with each of them both separately and collectively; seeing the proverbial light bulb turn on in their brains when they finally understood a new concept was truly exhilarating and I will be forever grateful I did not hand off the task of teaching my children to someone else!

CHRISTINE'S CREDENTIALS

Besides the fact that I home schooled my children (21 years total between three children), my college education is in Biology (major) and Chemistry (minor). I was a clinical scientist for 31 years working primarily in hospital laboratories, before walking away from the field in 2010. During my tenure as a scientist, I taught (graduate level courses), for ten of those years in most departments at one time or another, but definitely preferred Hematology, Immunology and Blood Banking (Immunohematology).
My departure from the field was not because I no longer liked the work, but it was a matter of integrity, having had my eyes opened to the fact that doctors (who themselves, probably do not even understand what they are doing) were not really healing anyone, but rather merely managing symptoms. I witnessed many chronically ill patients return time and again and never getting healed, only to face a new medication which brought on a new symptom to deal with later. I still live sciences, but I also loved home schooling my children. I feel the Lord has been encouraging me for a long time now not to give up, but help the ever-growing home school community educate their children.

THE DIRECTION OF CREATOR'S WORLD

Why this site? It stems from the early 2000s when I was a part of a home school co-op with my two youngest children. During a lunch break, a number of moms were standing around discussing their school week, when one lady said she only did science when she felt guilty enough for having ignored it for too long. At least five other moms laughed and confessed that they did the same thing. A friend of mine then said, looking over at me, “Not for Chris; at her house science just sort of happens.”

She spoke the truth.

Since then, I have been encouraged countless times, to put my work online, but while I love science, technology is my weakness. Praise God for those who excel in what I lack! With the state of our public school system today, now this online science and other educational topics seems to be urgently needed more than ever before.
Topics will ultimately expand (and already has) into other school subjects with the goal of keeping to training students in true knowledge and not political or social ideologies subject to opinions, and often false statements being demanded to be treated as true. Starting with what I know best (Biology) and my favorite children's classic, Heidi.
