Using The Well-Trained Mind by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer as a general guide, three main disciplines in Life Science, Botany, Animals and the Human Body are explored, along with one short, additional introductory unit. This unit expands on the preschool curriculum on this site. Each unit (sold separately) List of potential texts for each unit have been compiled for ease as a part of each unit.

Introduction to Life Science

This introduction contains four lessons, a vocabulary list, and an optional lab exercise. This unit can be completed in two weeks.

Animal Kingdom

This unit contains general instructions on teaching the animal kingdom using books from the local library, vocabulary list, how to review, and optional exercises. The bulk of the school year, approximately 16 weeks will be dedicated to this topic.

Plant Kingdom

This unit contains general instructions for completing the Plant Kingdom, vocabulary list, general review and extra labs to accomplish during the unit. This unit can take up to 12 weeks to complete.

Human Body

This Unit contains general instructions on teaching the Human Body, vocabulary list, review and extra activities to aid in learning. This unit is roughly eight weeks long.
