One year (or semester), one general topic, no skipping around shotgun approach to science here. Early elementary years have no textbooks for science, but access to a library with a good children’s science section is needed. 

Middle school and High school will have link provided for lectures from a given text. Work assignments and quizzes and tests are all separate, as will be labs when available.
